Un día en España
“A Day in Spain”
Madrid, Toledo, Salamanca and Segovia in 2 weeks.
Yesterday I got to talking to someone about traveling and I couldn’t help but think back to the time I traveled to Spain to study Spanish at the Universidad de Salamanca. I was freshly seventeen years young and I had no clue what I was getting myself into; I was about to embark on the greatest adventure of my life. I remember setting foot in Spain and getting dizzy from the ‘freedom’ I felt from being in another country without my parents. It’s safe to say I probably was an embarrassing representation of what it means to be an American, but I had the time of my life. I will never forget how I cried the entire trip back and thinking, “I will live in Spain once I am done with school.” Well friends, I have one more semester of undergrad left and one year of graduate school to go. We’ll see if I make it back one day!
